Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an American-Mexican sportscaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. She joined ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been since her age of nine. Her ability in this area has helped her get her first position at Univision, Miami. She was able to work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to an reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. Then she moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. In 2009, she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Also, she was often asked to serve as a weather and sports anchor. She was then the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given larger responsibilities. She covered the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. She produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and anchored it. She worked as the sports anchor of Despierta America Deportes morning show. The same role, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta's parents come from Veracruz Mexico. In Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. She's more mature than her younger sister. The family moved to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. They divorced shortly thereafter and her mother was remarried to one of the naval architects called Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. On a trip Antonietta was staying at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten the job of his dreams. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school, however she knew the things she wanted to accomplish. As it turned out she loved the campus and that they had the kind of program she was searching for. She finished school and enrolled at the university with a media studies major. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was student in her class, developed an ongoing relationship with her. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in her own abilities instilled confidence in her. She, in turn attempted to live up to his expectations and never let him down.
